We're working with Foster + Partners and the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority to develop the masterplan for this impressive 40-hectare site on Hong Kong's harbour-front. The City Park scheme covers seventeen new venues in total, including an opera house, a concert hall, an arena and an expo centre, all connected by a series of public spaces and promenades.
The West Kowloon Cultural District is the largest cultural initiative in the world today. From more than 100 firms around the world who were originally considered for this prestigious project, the Foster + Partners team were selected to masterplan the site after an extensive competition process and public consultation exercise. We're bringing our expertise to the team by developing the footprints for each of the performing arts buildings as well as the positioning and layout of the venues within the overall site.
